Nate and Anna

Something drew him back to stand in front of the portrait tonight. His mind had wandered all day thinking about her. She was just a girl in a picture. But he swore he heard her in his mind. No, he was sure of it. What was she trying to tell him?

Her skin looked so soft. He reached out to touch the portrait. For just an instant he could feel the velvety softness of her cheek, and the wetness of her tears. Soft lilac breath blew across his face.

“What the..?” He jerked his hand back and stared at her face. This was madness.

She had felt his touch as his hand caressed her cheek. It was heaven, even if it was for only a moment. She had to find a way to convince him they were soul mates, lovers through out time, meant to be together.

“I’ll come to you in your dreams tonight,” she said in a whisper. “Then you will know I must be yours.”

Your well-chosen words grabbed me and held me until the last word of your narrative.

    Well done, my friend.

  5. Wow! This is fabulous! You grabbed my attention, I can't wait to read more. This is so creative, PW. How in the world did you ever come up with it?

  6. Remember in Ann's BWW class we did Galumping where we picked three numbers that corresponded to columns of an item, a character and a place. I got wedding ring, gardner, and museum. I came up with the idea there, took the mystery writing class and developed the outline, and am using the story for the romance writing class I'm currently taking. So, basically I've been writing about it ever since Ann's class last Oct!

  7. That's a nice project to share. I have a couple ideas from the classes I took that have turned into short stories but nothing this creative. I can't wait to follow your progress through nano.
