Your precious Penny is much too shiny and bright to ever put down once you've picked her up!! How fortunate you are to have such an adorable little granddaughter! Give her a hug for me, please!
Hi, Parrot Writes. LJ here from Ann Lindquist's blog. I wanted to tell you that I read and enjoyed the story you wrote for your grandson. Congratulations on your reward.
I too am retired, live in Oregon, and am new to writing. You've done a nice job with your blog. I'm enjoying researching several of the links you provide here. Thanks.
Penny is adorable. Cute tribute you wrote to her. I love how she's waving just like her grandmother.
Hi LJ! Thanks for stopping by my blog. You're welcome to check out all the sites on my blog list - they are ones I have found to be very helpful. Ann's class was the first one I took when I started to learn about writing and it was the best! It's great that she takes time to mentor us even now. I've enjoyed your posts on her site - keep them coming. Do you belong to Willamette Writers? Maybe I'll see you at a meeting or conference.
No, I haven't joined the Willamette Writers--not yet anyway. I have looked at the Website though. I just moved to the NW last summer. Also, I'm new to writing and not particularly confident about posting outside of a " virtual classroom." Did you also take the Descriptive Settings course? I thought I recognized some of the assignments from that course here on your blog. The course kept me writing, but I agree that Ann's BWW is the best.
Yes, I'm currently taking the ed2go Descriptive Writing Class. I've enjoyed it and have posted some of the lessons on my blog without the word count restrictions. See above memoir! I bit the bullet and started my writing blog shortly after completing Ann's class because there were so many wonderful supportive writers around me who welcomed and encouraged me. I've been posting to it just over two years now! It's a good next step!
So cute - I just love this picture. Funny it took Zoe so many photo's to actually catch this. Penny and her funny sunscreen covered face. Poor baby. Lol

ReplyDeleteGreat pic! What a doll baby! (You look okay too!)
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies - yes Penny is a cutie! This was from our family beach trip last summer.
